The Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2007, place a number of legal duties on clients when carrying out construction works.
CDM is concerned with all Health & Safety welfare aspects of construction and maintenance projects and for many projects, a client shall need an adviser to assist in the fulfilling of certain duties.
Where works are termed notifiable, this adviser is called a CDM Co-ordinator (previously known as a Planning Supervisor under the previous Regulations).
The CDM Co-ordinator is a key project adviser in respect of construction Health & Safety risk management matters.
