This Sir Basil Spence A-Listed grand country residence dates from the early twentieth century. Designed and built in classic Scottish Baronial style it suffered severe damage due to the effects of burst pipes which occurred during extreme weather conditions and sub-zero temperatures.
Our client owned and occupied the lower two floors of the subdivided residence and all repairs had to recognise the delicate interior period features. The project progressed with the intention to salvage as many of the interior ornate plasterwork and woodwork possible after careful assessment and restoration techniques by specialist Contractor with trades skilled in these areas of work.
